OVERVIEW

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in south western part of Uganda in the Kigezi Region. Bwindi is home for part of the remaining population of Mountain Gorillas. The park is a sanctuary for colobus monkeys, and many birds like horn bills and turacos. It is the most notable for the 400 gorillas, half of the world’s population of the endangered mountain gorillas. The park covers part of Rukungiri, Kisoro and kabale.

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

After breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is approximately 8-9 hours. You will have en-route stopover at the equator for photography and you will enjoy viewing the countryside scenery with some beautiful land scape ranging of the plantation and hills.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking.

After breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for briefing with packed lunch and later go and explore the mist jungle. You will set off for your thrill experience of the Gorilla in the mist. You will be led into the thick jungles full to the brim with wildlife.  This could take 3-8hours depending on the location of the Gorilla family.

Day 3: Cultural Encounter.

After breakfast, you will go to Nkuringo cultural center. This guided walk takes you to local home stead interacting with the local people learning their ways of life and crafts encounter. You will attend the kiga dance. It is an experiential encounter with in the Nkuringo community and it allows the guest to have a deep encounter within the community.

Day4: Return Back To Kampala.

After breakfast, you embark on your journey to Kampala with en -route lunch in Mbarara town.
